No more spreadsheets after a holiday

Add each expense once and Dhanio keeps the balances. Mark a payment as paid when someone settles up.

Your finances stay with you

Dhanio does not connect to your bank. You add what you pay, and it stays on your phone.

On your phone

Loans, SIPs, subscriptions and payments are stored on your phone. They are never sent to a Dhanio server.

Encrypted backups

Back up to your own Google Drive, daily or weekly. Each backup is encrypted on your phone with a recovery password only you know.

Sharing is a choice

Shared trips are optional. Only the trip itself is shared, and only with the people on it.

Only download Dhanio from this website. A copy from anywhere else could be changed. To update, download the new version here and install it over the old one. Your data stays.

Questions

Why is Dhanio not on the Play Store?

We publish Dhanio directly on this website. You download it here, and new versions appear here first.

Why does Android warn me before installing?

Android shows this for every app that does not come from the Play Store. Allowing your browser to install apps lets you finish. You can switch it off again afterwards in Settings.

Does Dhanio read my bank account or SMS?

No. Dhanio cannot see your bank account. Reminders use the dates you save, so check your balance before a payment is due.

What happens to my data if I uninstall?

It is removed with the app. If you turn on Google Drive backup first, you can restore it after installing again, using your recovery password.

Do my friends see my finances?

No. Friends see your name, username and picture. People on a shared trip see that trip and who is on it, and nothing else.

Is there an iPhone version?

Not yet. Dhanio is for Android 8.0 and newer.
